Purpose

I will try my best to provide detailed info on various cars and what is like to live with them, I have already produced a few for Jaguar-car-forums, I will do my best to be unbiased, but it will be hard for some cars. I will re-produce press releases and copy from other motoring news.

Vauxhall will reveal three all-new models at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show (7th–19th March 2017) including the Insignia Grand Sport, Insignia Sports Tourer and Crossland X.
All three models will be seen in public for the first time during Vauxhall/Opel’s press conference on Tuesday 7thMarch at 10:00 (11:00 CET) in Hall 2 of Palexpo (stand number 2231). And if that wasn’t enough, Vauxhall will also reveal two new OnStar services and the new Exclusive program at Geneva.

Insignia
Following on from the previous generation, which won the European Car of the Year in 2009, and sold over 25,000 in the UK last year, the Insignia is based on completely a new vehicle architecture. Its revised proportions result in a more spacious interior, giving the car a more athletic appearance and an improved road stance.
There is a raft of top technologies that make driving the Insignia safer, more relaxing and more comfortable than before. Next-generation IntelliLux LED matrix lighting, Lane Keep Assist, Head-up Display and unique AGR-certified premium seats, front- and rear-seat heating and a heated wind screen are just some examples.
Outstanding infotainment and connectivity are also on board thanks to the latest generation IntelliLink systems and Vauxhall OnStar, which with the launch of the Insignia Grand Sport, will offer even more functionality for customers. New OnStar features allow occupants to book hotel rooms and search for suitable parking spots via an OnStar Advisor.
Crossland X
Crisp and compact on the outside, spacious and flexible on the inside, with unique two-tone paintwork and SUV-styling, Vauxhall’s all-new Crossland X makes its debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.
While the Crossland X’s recently-launched sibling, the Mokka X, has all-wheel-drive capability, is 70mm higher and has larger wheels for buyers with a taste for adventure, the Crossland X has a firm family focus, with a Tardis-like cabin providing high degrees of practicality and flexibility.
And at just 4.21 metres in length the Crossland X is more compact than the Mokka X, and a full 16cm shorter than the Astra Hatch, offering owners greater convenience while driving and manoeuvring in towns and cities. Adding to Crossland X’s urban appeal is an elevated seating position and an overall height, which is raised ten centimetres above the Astra’s.
Exceptional driver and passenger comfort has been an obvious priority for a car entering this class. The Crossland X has specially designed AGR-certified seats for the driver and front passenger, while rear passengers can adjust their seating position to increase leg room.
Additional innovations in the Crossland X make driving safer and more comfortable, and include a 180-degree panoramic rear-view camera, advanced park assist, forward collision alert with pedestrian detection and autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, speed sign recognition and side blind-spot alert, among others.
Vauxhall Exclusive
Taking personalisation to the next level, Vauxhall Exclusive allows customers to select their car in the colour of their choice, using any colour they like. As well as choosing the colour, it also allows customers to decide on one of three distinctive paint finishes: tri-coat, metallic paint and pearl. In addition, Vauxhall Exclusive will offer further personalisation including leather options, a selection of wheels and decorative design elements solely-reserved for Exclusive customers.
Five-Star Year
Vauxhall is set for a ground-breaking 2017, with a total of five major product launches that will add further variety to its range – already one of the largest in the UK – while at the same time entering new market segments.
Crucially, as well as the introduction of range-building derivatives, Vauxhall will bolster its credentials by offering a compelling alternative to ‘premium’ models in the D-sector with the all new Insignia Grand Sport, Sports Tourer and Country Tourer, while also growing volume still further in the SUV/crossover class with the Crossland X and the Grandland X.
