Purpose

I will try my best to provide detailed info on various cars and what is like to live with them, I have already produced a few for Jaguar-car-forums, I will do my best to be unbiased, but it will be hard for some cars. I will re-produce press releases and copy from other motoring news.

Renault Groupe expands further with another long established chain taking on the Renault/Dacia brands.

  • Savilles Garage joins the Groupe Renault UK dealer network
  • Extensive redevelopment of Kidderminster dealership represents a £700,000 investment
  • Long-established business swaps to Groupe Renault franchise after representing another brand for 16 years
  • Dealership features a 12-car showroom, 7-bay workshop and 100-used car display
  • Opening is another boost to Groupe Renault UK achieving the targets of its GO5+ strategy
Savilles Garage has opened a cutting-edge Renault and Dacia dealership in Kidderminster, with the well-respected Worcestershire business choosing to replace its previous franchise of 16 years with the Groupe Renault franchise.

The rapid growth of Renault, coupled with the value and potential of Dacia, were instrumental in Savilles Garage making the change to its business and investing over £700,000 in the extensive redevelopment of its sole dealership, which is located off Worcester Road, Mustow Green, Kidderminster.
Based on the site of the oldest garage premises in Worcestershire and one that has been home to Savilles Garage for nearly 17 years, the new dealership features a 12-car showroom, 7-bay workshop, EV charging points and a used car display area capable of accommodating 100 cars.
Originally, the showroom was designed with a 7-car capacity, but Savilles Garage decided to ‘future proof’ the facility by substantially extending it to comfortably house 12 cars, creating adequate space to fully represent the Renault and Dacia brands as they grow.
Providing a bright, contemporary environment for customers, the showroom has been transformed with the inclusion of the innovative Renault Store showroom design, which was launched by the French carmaker in 2015.
Designed to add a whole new dimension to visitors’ experiences of Groupe Renault dealerships, the Renault Store showroom design incorporates dedicated discovery zones, sales pods, and an interactive ‘brand bar’ where customers can explore the Renault and Dacia ranges on iPads.
With the investment it has made and its attention to detail in the redevelopment of its showroom, Savilles Garage believes that it will be able to offer customers one of the biggest and most advanced car dealerships in the entire region.
Savilles Garage’s confidence and major investment in the Groupe Renault UK franchise is a perfect indication of how the continuous growth of Renault and Dacia is encouraging more and more automotive dealer groups to join the Groupe Renault UK dealer network.
The franchise was recently voted Franchise of the Year 2016 by AM magazine, while the customer commitment of Groupe Renault UK and its dealer partners saw Renault and Dacia being voted number one and two respectively in the Auto Express Driver Power Satisfaction Survey 2016 for Dealer Aftersales Service Satisfaction.
The rapid growth of the Renault and Dacia network is also making a major contribution to Groupe Renault UK being firmly on track to meet the ambitious goals of its GO5+ strategy.
This plan includes the creation of sustainable growth that will see market share above five per cent in 2017 and also establishing Renault as a leader in terms of customer satisfaction.
Patrick Sword, Managing Director, Savilles Garage, said: “Moving to the Groupe Renault franchise after 16 years with another brand was a major decision and we wouldn’t have invested such an amount and made the change if we didn’t have complete faith in Renault and Dacia and that our partnership will be equally longstanding and successful.
“We see the Groupe Renault franchise as the perfect vehicle for our whole business to be built on for many years to come. With the Renault range being one of the freshest a manufacturer has to offer and Dacia winning all the awards for value, the brands are incredibly attractive to both us and our customers.
The sheer variety of the model range means we have a car for everyone and all ages, but notably we’re seeing a lot of interest from younger buyers who are drawn to the style and fun ownership of Renault. Being able to provide award-winning LCVs is another major plus, allowing us to offer customers even more choice and opening up another revenue stream.”
Sword continued: “As a family-run business with traditional values, we are dedicated to delivering a personal service and it’s been very pleasing to have experienced the same from Groupe Renault UK. The support we’ve received in establishing the franchise has been very good and it feels like we have a true partnership.”
Nick Tame, Sales Director, Groupe Renault UK, said: “Savilles Garage is an excellent dealer partner for us as the business has previously enjoyed official recognition for its commitment to customers and demonstrates a real passion for our brands.
It’s great to have Renault and Dacia represented once more in Kidderminster and with Savilles Garage being established in the region since 1999, earning an unrivalled reputation for looking after its customers, we are certain that they will be a major benefit to our dealer network and anyone in the region who has an interest in Renault and Dacia.”
Groupe Renault, which comprises Renault cars, vans and Dacia, has experienced unprecedented growth over the last three years, consistently outpacing the UK market. The growth has continued into 2016 with 71,492 Group vehicles sold in the first six months of the year – up 14.4 per cent on the same period in 2015 – with a market share of 4.4 per cent compared to the total market growth rate of 3.1 per cent.
