Infiniti continues to move forward at a rate of knots with 118% more sold in May and 182% year to date.

  • 118% more Infiniti cars sold in May, 182% more year-to-date
  • Q30 biggest volume maker for the brand across continent with 660 units sold in May
  • Record global year-to-date sales with 91,000 cars sold
Infiniti continues its strong momentum when it sold 871 vehicles in Europe in May, more than twice as many as in May of the previous year. Year-to-date the car manufacturer sold 7,949 cars on European soil – almost tripling results from the same period of 2015. 
Across EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) 1,726 Infiniti’s were sold in May – 26% more than in May 2015, and, year-to-date, 13,413 vehicles were sold, corresponding to an increase of 45%. 

Strongest model was again the new Infiniti Q30, of which 660 units were sold in May and 5,415 this year so far.
On European soil, Infiniti was most successful in France: Sales went up to 203 vehicles – more than twice as many as in May 2015. 
During this year, 1,742 Infiniti cars have been sold across the country so far – an increase of 274% in comparison to the same period of the year before. 
In Italy, 167 customers have bought a new Infiniti in May, up by 695% from last year. Since January, 842 cars were sold in Italy, four times as much as the same time frame of 2015, when 164 cars were sold there. 
With 126 vehicles sold, Infiniti in Germany was able to more than double its sales comparing May 2016 to May 2015. Furthermore, since January 1,084 cars have been sold in Germany, corresponding to an increase of 172% compared to last year, when 398 cars were sold.
“The results highlight once again the trust that customers have in our vehicles. We are confident to continue our success in Western Europe especially with our all-new model QX30, which we will launch very soon across Europe.”, said François Goupil de Bouillé, Vice President of Infiniti Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Globally, Infiniti has set a sales record in May as well. The brand sold approximately 18,000 vehicles around the world last month, an increase of 3% over May 2015 and representing the best-ever May sales performance in Infiniti’s history. Year-to-date, Infiniti sold about 91,000 vehicles globally, up 5% compared to the same period last year, setting another sales record for the company.
