Purpose

I will try my best to provide detailed info on various cars and what is like to live with them, I have already produced a few for Jaguar-car-forums, I will do my best to be unbiased, but it will be hard for some cars. I will re-produce press releases and copy from other motoring news.

Mazda takes one of the few Automobile All-Star Awards 2016 with the new MX5 Miata Convertible.

Latest award marks 11th time MX-5 has been honored
The 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata has been named a 2016 AUTOMOBILE All-Star, one of seven all-new vehicles selected to the publication’s annual list of the best vehicles on the road today.
To determine its All-Star winners, the judges at AUTOMOBILE evaluated the MX-5 and 24 other contenders at Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch in Pahrump, Nevada, as well as on road loops around the facility. After the winners were chosen by a staff vote, the MX-5 accompanied the rest of the group through Death Valley and on to California’s eastern Sierra Nevada mountain range, a drive that further showcased the lightweight roadster’s unrivaled open-top experience.

AUTOMOBILE editors couldn’t get enough of the 2016 MX-5’s fun-to-drive personality from behind the wheel. The supple, yet properly sorted suspension provided judges with a smooth ride throughout testing, with an impressed eyebrow raise at how the MX-5 Club edition conquered broken pavement on the open-road portion of the testing.
“There’s a reason the Mazda MX-5 Miata has been named an AUTOMOBILE All-Star an unprecedented 11 times,” said Mike Floyd, editor-in-chief of AUTOMOBILE. “It’s arguably the best bang-for-the-buck sports car of all time. An unrivaled open-top roadster that embodies our brand’s No Boring Cars mantra. A car that inspired generations of motorsports aficionados to hit the track. The 2016 MX-5 unquestionably carries on that tradition.”
“Since launching the 2016 MX-5 last summer, it has garnered nearly universal praise as a wonderful everyday, usable sports car that continues to win fans and owners,” said Robert Davis, senior vice president of U.S. operations, Mazda North American Operations (MNAO). “MX-5 has remained true to its roots as one of the most fun sports cars out there at any price, yet it’s remarkably modern. We’re honored that AUTOMOBILEfelt the MX-5 was worthy of an All-Star award.”
The MSRP for the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata in the U.S. starts at $24,915[1], making it one of the most accessible sports cars in the U.S. MX-5 comes standard with power windows, LED headlights and tail lights and leather-wrapped steering wheel, shift knob and parking brake. Available options include a limited-slip rear differential, lightweight 17-inch forged BBS wheels and Brembo front brakes in the MX-5 Club trim level. In the MX-5 Grand Touring, features include amenities like heated leather seating surfaces, a Bose premium audio system, adaptive headlights, navigation and even safety features like rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot monitoring and lane-departure warning.
