Purpose

I will try my best to provide detailed info on various cars and what is like to live with them, I have already produced a few for Jaguar-car-forums, I will do my best to be unbiased, but it will be hard for some cars. I will re-produce press releases and copy from other motoring news.

Leading London car dealer Hexagon has produced a movie-quality film featuring more than £20m-worth of classics that appear to be driving themselves…
Called ‘Icons of the Road’  the short film marks the start of a transformational year that will see Hexagon open a new flagship showroom. It features appearances from some of the most desirable and valuable classic cars in the world including an Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato Sanction III, an ex-Sir Stirling Moss DB4 GT Lightweight, a Ferrari 250 GT California Spider, a Porsche 356 Speedster plus a Series 1 Jaguar E-type Roadster and many more.
The pictures below are cars available from Hexagon
and may not be viewable within the film.

Shot on location in London over several nights, the star cars of ‘Icons of the Road’ drive themselves around the Capital, cruising past some of its most famous landmarks and gathering astonished looks from drivers at traffic lights. The story finishes with the cars coming together at Hexagon’s new north London home. All of the on-screen classics were provided by Hexagon, while state-of-the-art post-production techniques were employed to painstakingly remove the drivers, so that the cars appear to be moving by themselves.
The film has been produced to celebrate the start of perhaps the biggest and most ambitious 12 months in Hexagon’s 53-year history. Building work has already begun on a new flagship showroom in Great North Road, East Finchley. Called ‘The Hexagon’, it will bring together classic cars and luxury lifestyle like no other location in London.
In addition to space for 40 classic cars and modern classics plus a Lotus dealership – Hexagon is Lotus’ official London dealer – The Hexagon will feature much more. There will be a restaurant headed up by a Michelin-starred chef, a coffee bar, a modern art gallery and a men’s retail store. Each element of the new showroom has been carefully chosen to represent the finest in its field, creating a welcoming and vibrant environment that will act as a real destination for all – not just car enthusiasts.
The Hexagon will be the flagship of the business, with the company’s South Kensington mews showroom continuing to operate alongside it, offering the finest classic cars and new Lotus models.
Hexagon Chairman Paul Michaels, said: “I started Hexagon in a small mews in Belsize Park back in 1963 and we’ve had some incredible years since then including running a privateer F1 team in the Seventies. But 2016 is set to be one of the most remarkable yet.
“We commissioned ‘Icons of the Road’ because we wanted to celebrate classic cars in a way that no-one has done before. The film is all about the cars – not who is driving them. It’s an amusing story about how cars relate to each other, which we hope everyone can enjoy.
“We also wanted to do something outstanding and unusual, something that would show just how serious and ambitious we are. Our plans for The Hexagon are just that – I don’t think anyone has ever done something like this before. It will be a real destination and a true lifestyle experience, a place where you can enjoy the finest coffee, the finest food – and indulge your love of the finest cars too.”
