Purpose

I will try my best to provide detailed info on various cars and what is like to live with them, I have already produced a few for Jaguar-car-forums, I will do my best to be unbiased, but it will be hard for some cars. I will re-produce press releases and copy from other motoring news.

UK SALES NOVEMBER - FORD - The Blue Oval continues to dominate the UK sales charts, again.

UK market leader Ford increased sales and share and exceeded market growth across all sectors in November as it reinforced its lead in total vehicle, car and commercial vehicle sales.  Ford commercial vehicle (CV) sales were at the highest level since 1986 and more than double those of its nearest rival.
According to the official November sales figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT):
  • Ford is the UK market leader in total vehicle, car and CV sales
  • Ford total vehicle sales up 15.9 per cent against 5.3 per cent UK market growth
  • Fiesta is UK best-seller; Transit Custom first in CV and fifth in total vehicle charts
  • Transit range is second in UK total vehicle sales
  • Ford has five models in the UK Top 20 – Fiesta (1st), Focus (3rd), Transit Custom (5th), Kuga (15th) and Transit (18th)
Andy Barratt, Ford of Britain chairman and managing director, said:  “The UK market’s robust growth was evident across all sectors in November, and it is particularly rewarding to see Ford’s strengthening its leadership position by a significant margin.
“This is the benefit of ongoing investment in exciting products and industry-leading technologies, both in cars and CVs.  Our latest newcomers, including C-MAX, S-MAX, Galaxy, Mustang and Mondeo Vignale, will boost our sales momentum even more."
