Purpose

I will try my best to provide detailed info on various cars and what is like to live with them, I have already produced a few for Jaguar-car-forums, I will do my best to be unbiased, but it will be hard for some cars. I will re-produce press releases and copy from other motoring news.

  • Limited edition Renault Mégane Knight Edition now on sale until Autumn 2013
  • Prices start from £17,095, just £350 more than Mégane Expression+ despite extras, including sporty chrome wheels, GT style bumpers, electrically folding door mirrors and rear parking sensors
  • Knight Edition comes with a 1.6 16V petrol or low emission dCi 110 Stop & Start diesel engine
  • Special release available as Hatch, Coupé and Sport Tourer

Armed with shiny GT style body armour and a host of extras, including sword-sharp alloy wheels and rear parking sensors, the limited edition Renault Mégane Knight is leading the way in value and style this summer.

The exclusive range, available in Hatch, Coupé and Sport Tourer, and a choice of two engines, will only be on sale until Autumn 2013 after ordering just opened.

Prices start from £17,095, just £350 more than its closest ally the Mégane Expression+ despite a cavalry of additional features, including the striking dark chrome wheels, GT style bumpers, dark chrome rear diffuser, dark chrome exterior detail styling and electrically folding door mirrors, as well as the rear parking sensors.

Combing power, control and economy, the models all perfectly blend driving pleasure and best possible fuel consumption, with technological innovations born of Renault’s expertise in F1, such as Stop & Start and regenerative braking.

The Knight fleet comes with either a 1.6 16V petrol or carbon footprint-reducing dCi 110 Stop & Start diesel engine, which cuts CO2 emissions to just 90 g/km and qualifies for zero Road Tax.

Its special edition 16" dark chrome ‘Eptius’ alloy wheels give it a sporty, cutting edge over its Expression+ stable mate, while the extra tinted rear windows and tailgate add an air of mystery and power. The range comes in Glacier White as standard, but is also available in Ruby Red, Malta Blue and Arctic White, Diamond Black metallic paints.

All models come with the signature Mégane LED running lights and are packed with Va Va Voom, all proudly promoting the French brand’s recently revamped look and style.

The seductive Mégane Hatch blends clean lines and curves and suits a number of markets, while if you are looking for something sportier then the sleek Coupé will set your pulse racing.

The versatile Sport Tourer completes the trio. With its multiple storage areas and folding 1/3-2/3 rear seat, which takes the boot space from 524 to 1,600 litres, it is practical and adaptable without compromising style and performance. Mégane Sport Tourer proudly reinvents the traditional estate.

On the road prices for the Mégane Knight Edition Hatch start at £17,095, the Coupé at £17,595, while the Sport Tourer kicks off at just £17,895. All models qualify for Renault’s 4+ package: four-year warranty, four-year free servicing, four-year AA roadside cover and four-year finance.

The efficient and economical dCi 110 Stop & Start is the best-selling of all the Renault engines. It produces more torque (now 260 NM (+20NM), has lower CO2 emissions and improved fuel consumption (80.7mpg). This is all achieved by utilising the very latest engine technology – much of which comes from Renault's Formula 1 experience and expertise, and is unprecedented at this level.
